We Want to Hear from You
Are You Ready for a Spring House Cleaning?
A federal election has been looming for months - and with recent finding from the Speaker of the House of Commons that a Conservative Cabinet Minister is in contempt of Parliament (for the first time in history), perhaps it’s time for a little Spring Cleaning in our national politics.
For the last few years, we have seen energy efficiency programs (that create jobs and savings for homeowners and businesses) slashed, a complete vacuum in leadership on tackling climate change, and no action on a national water strategy. Our reputation is in tatters internationally and our environment is suffering.
We want to hear from you, our members, about what you are looking for in our federal leadership. Would you push for a climate action plan? Would you clean up the toxic lagoon in Boat Harbour? Is there a school or community building you would like to see made energy efficient? Would you place a nation-wide tax on disposable cups? Do you you want you kids to learn about nature and sustainability through a national sustainable education plan?
We WANT your ideas (in words, pictures, and/or videos), so we can compile them and use them in our evaluations of leadership candidates. It can be one word, or it can be a rant! We just really want to hear from you!
