The Gulf of St. Lawrence is a vital and unique ecosystem that is home to the endangered blue whale, imperiled cod stocks, and thousands of other marine species. Water protection and conservation is a key issue in Atlantic Canada.
The Atlantic Chapter is active in key campaigns to protect lakes and ponds from becoming waste dumps for mines, stopping fracking from damaging watersheds and well-water, and educating people on reducing water consumption.
