Join our Communications Committee!
Sierra Club Atlantic Chapter is looking for creative, committed and keen members to join our Communications Committee. If you have experience in communications, media relations, fundraising, writing, graphic design, social media or are just passionate about protecting our environment then we’d love to have you on our Communications Committee.
We currently need members from Newfoundland, PEI and New Brunswick.
Members of the Communications Committee will work together with the Communications Coordinator on the following:
- Implement the Communications Plan, and develop creative new ways to promote the Chapter both internally and externally
- Edit and contribute articles, photographs, etc. to our quarterly newsletter The Sandpiper
- Monitor and update website and social media communications
- Provide support for the development of donor communications and public awareness pieces, including newsletters, program brochures, media releases, public awareness campaigns, etc.
- Develop creative initiatives and review current efforts.
- Meet at least monthly either in person or by teleconference
- Work together as a team to reach out to community partners, members, media, potential donors, corporations, foundations, and the general public.
